Job interview the conclusion

Well as I expected I didn't get the job. Or should say I turned it down when I was advised of all the conditions.

I am on protected salary scheme and permanent employment protection in this position it came to light I would have to take another pay cut and lose my employment protection. So at the end of my contract I would be out of work.

Thanks but no thanks.

Therefore even more need to progress my online activities.

The secret to this success? I know it's hard work and dedication.

Well I'm not one to give up. Things might not move along as quickly as one might like. However I will keep working away until I hit/achieve my goals.

Job Interview

Just a quick note. I had a job interview today. I don't think it went very well. Therefore it will be a complete shock if I am successful.

I have now come up with the idea of having 2 web pages that will run different ads and attack this online business from 2 different areas.

The situation is though I should get one working never mind two.

However thats me run before I can walk.

problems with website

There seems to be problems with the website that I am trying to build. So much so for trying to start up this home based working business on the minimal outlay as possible.

This will not stop me building a web page however it could set it back about a week.

Have have received a email of how to buy and sell and make a profit through e-bay. Now in a previous blog I mentioned that this has cropped up a few times in various articles that I have seen and read.

There is a outlay, not a substantial outlay and it comes with a 30 money back guarantee. My brain says yes while my heart says no.

The reasons behind this are:

Its another outlay and so far I have paid out for no return. However you have to speculate to accumulate. Also I must get 1 thing working well before starting something else. However to accumulate wealth you must have many strings.

At the same time though it's important to have each string working and bringing in some sought of return.


Decisions, decisions.

Making money online

I'm still convinced you can make money online. However the constant need to research and work out the best route to take is amazing.

I'm trying to do this with as little outlay as possible. As things improve on the work front, or I start making money I will then invest monies accrued into improving the services that I have created.

I am basically also trying to do this with minimal help and assistance.

Therefore:

Create your own webpage. That is moving along and although not complete I am testing a few pages at a time and will launch it soon and adapt it as I go along.

Sell things on ebay. That's something I must look into.

Create a blog. Done that one. Pats oneself on the back.

Affiliate Marketing. That's another one that I'm looking at the moment.

So I'm doing something right?

Maybe I'm trying to run before I walk.........

No job on the horizon. Then possible 3

Since April not a smell of a job via re-deployment. Then in the last 3 days possibly 3 jobs. Got 1 initial interview set up for next week. The others too follow if either I or the manager decides it its not going to work.

If we both agree to give it a go. I can do a 4/6/13 weeks of training and working there to still see if we are both happy and wish to continue.

This is OK cause it gives both parties an opt out at any of these points.

This will not affect my home business one bit. If originally thought it might however the no way I travel down the path of getting it up and running no way will I stop.

With my web page a few days away from completion. I know it should up and running by now.
It is being worked on and as I said in a previous blog I want it to be as good as I can get it i.e. making sure all the links work etc.

The home page sorry the home page should never be titled "Home". I'm working on making sure all the titles describe exaxctly what the page or site is about so that the search engines ad humans will know what each page is and what it will offer them.

Moving Further Forward and Thinking Ahead

Still working on the web site. I know I must get in right or as near as possible. Yes I know I can change it/adapt it. However I feel the happier I am with the better I will feel.

This whole operation is to see if you can really make money over the internet without spending hours each day getting it to work.

I want to spend no more than 1 hour a day either updating or adding new correspondence.

Therefore I have been looking at ways to have a success through the pay-per-click route.

I found that once again the main point is Do Your Homework.

There are various help points which I find informative i.e. don't send users to your home page and test,test and test some more.

All points that I will have to follow when I get everything up and working.

Surveys

The survey front has moved on again. There maybe, stress could be a way to complete surevys on line to act a as second income. Since thats all I want ways of making money online to become the second income.

I have with my constant digging that there are many misconceptions about surveys online. There are advertisements that say you can make x amount of income an hour. Howeverit seems to me that the average is £1-10. Although this can add up very quickly, which is why numerous people are taking advantage on this income generator. The one thing that is obvious through all my research is that it will take time to make money. So it depends on how much time you can put into it like everything else.

The key to getting paid to take surveys Online is to join as many of these paid surevy companies as possible. Most sites will only send a few paid surveys a month and this varies from compay to company.

One report states that its a good idea to start off with about 20-30 companies. So far I have siged up to about 10. So therefore I have still have some way to go.

There is so much to learn

Today I have been reading about Affiliate Marketing. My first reaction was what!

However I found out that all affiliate marketing is an online marketing strategy that involves the promotion of a website. Easy enough. Well in the scheme, a person who is technically called a affiliate is able to make money online by simply listing other people's websites on his own.

MUST GET THAT WEBPAGE SORTED!

These websites are owned by people called the merchants, the ones who technically operate the affiliate program. The affiliate promotes these merchants and their wares by merely displaying their link on his/hers website. Whenever a customer clicks on the link and a purchase is made, a slae is generated as a result of that promotion. The merchant then pays the affiliate a commission

What Happens Next

So the building of my web site is slowly moving along. Not as fast as I would like although the whole idea of my home working is to achieve additional earning. So I can to a degree take my time to get everything right or near enough to start of with.

Searching and reading to day the one rule I found is that you need to generate any kind of income from your website is a steady flow of website traffic to your site.

I appreciate that traffic is absolutely the most essential thing to maintaining a successful internet based business. As well as an excellent product/s as well.

As I don't have a web page just yet I know that once the site is finished the work will not cease there. That is when the steady stream of traffic is needed to visit the site. Working on increasing the traffic flow to my webpage is a necessity.

Still Moving Forward

Been working with a friend of mine who is much more into web page design the me. All I need him to do is to set me up with the basics and I will try to do the rest for myself although having a good friend nearby if it all goes wrong is not a bad thing to have.

Still looking at various other ways of earning this income some sites recommend betterware or kleeneze. Now I'm sure that you can make money from undertaking this route. However this for one is not for me. Well not yet anyway.

I may have to reconsider when all my redeployment issues have benn resolved.

I have also been joining more survey sites. However I wish I could distinguish the number of sites that you have to join to reach a agreed target.

Not that I have set myself a target yet? How can you when you don't know the multiples to give yourself an answer.

The next moves to take

I have recently been looking at domain names and whether to go ahead and purchase one. Well you never know if there are any left out there could really attract that company who are just setting up and they want that domain name and you already have purchased it.

Also been working at some dummy websites. I'm getting there and soon should have one that I'm happy with and can launch it into cyberspace and then expand as the days go by.

The thing is I find so mundane going through all the procedures to make the site attractive and all the background work that is attached in setting up this business. However I know it is vital as more work at the front will alleviate the work that will follow.

The funny thing is I have these processes to go through with my day job therefore I know its vital and I insist with everyone, that you have to learn to walk first, and then there is me who wants to just run.

Surveys from Home

It seems to me that you can earn a lot more money than I originally thought from filling surveys from home. Whether as some sites say it's a great way to make a lot of money I don't know.

I have become aware that be vary very vary of survey sites that claim to be able to give you huge list of paid surveys in exchange for a monthly membership fee. This is a far as I can see justconfirms that the site is a scam.

To realistically expect to make enough money to pay the bills you need a regular supply of surveys and to complete them on a regular basis. What I am unsure off is how many are required to justify the time and energy completeing them to receive a decent return.

I know some sites have interactive calculators and one I have signed up to tell you how much you will receive for completing a survey. However these amounts are relatively small to begin with and you only receive the full amount if you meet the criteria to complete the full survey.

Will this put me off from completing surveys? No not yet. The site I signed up withhttp://www.uksurveypanel.com. I have only just started this venture and patience is the key. Well thats want most home working sites press on about.

The meeting today regarding my job situation was very encouraging. Although as they say the proof is in the pudding. Hopefully therefore within the near future I should have a new position.

This position I am sure will not enjoy the salary that I used to enjoy therefore making my home working ideas work will be still very much on the agenda.

Over the weekend I have to serious set my goal plan and work to achieve all my initial plans and get any relevant home workig ideas into motion.

The only other one that I have started in the last few days is completing surveys for cash or to win prizes. Although I see don't see this a huge money making idea every survey completed gives me some type of reward.

What is new today.

Today has been really a non eventful day. Not much happened at work on the redeployment front. Although I have a meeting tomorrow with both management and the unions.

From the home working front any available free time has been spent reading various reports in relation to home working and trying to decide if this or that idea is the one for me.

I have decided since I have lost so much salary, and although I have a little bit of saving put to one side, this of course will not last unless I hit one or both of my targets. Therefore why not try to win holidays and days out for my family.

In the few months that I have been entering competitions I have won over £100 in prizes. Not much but from small acorns?

My new work group are also very much into the lottery so therefore contributing every week into that plus my own stake. May just, well, you know scoop the biggy.

I should also maybe consider overseas lotteries?

So role onto tomorrow and the meeting and to see what they bring?

The Next Steps

Over the last few weeks I have been collecting and reading as many home working ideas that I could and can obtain and read. I still have quite a few to get through.

However I have decided to pick one with a minimul outlay and see how that progresses. I am also sure that when I re read some of the ideas that there will be some that will just not appeal to me. Fortunately I have not purchased any that gives you a money back guarantee. So therefore none that I have lost money on because I have past the retuen date.

This is not to say that I will not purchase them sometime in the future.

I know that I must start off one opportunity and see how that goes and when it starts to make money I can begin another income stream. I also acknowledge that you need multiple income streams to get rich but I also appreciate that you need one prove income stream before I start speading my wings.

I will also set my targets to see how each opportunity goes and if I feel that I'm not making any money I must make the decision to ditch it and move on.

I must also have patience as long as I am making a profit I should allow the idea to continue to see if it flouishes or dwindles.

The start

Is it at all possible to earn £15k+ plus from home working within 12 months?



I have recently due to changes in my companies structure had to accept a pay cut, the other alternative was to lose my job, which was you can guess it was £15k.



Now I ask myself what to do next?



There as far as I can see there are 2 options.



1 Find another job to replace the reduction in salary although that my involve more travelling than I did previously or



2 Work from home doing whatever to replace the money. Which will also greatly enhance my work life balance.
