Another Day Another Dollar or So the Saying Goes.
I have sat here in near complete silence for 3 plus hours and not one word has been spoken to me. If I try to initiation a conversation everyone lets the conversation continue for a couple of minutes then move off. I am not peeved off with that because in all my previous roles that was considered the norm and what I deem to be standard working practice. The thing is within 5 minutes other people including maybe some that were talking to me will get together in a little group and discuss the latest soaps for half an hour. At least if I am at this local college it will be better than sitting in work doing very little.
I have spoken to a few friends/associates outside work who are reliable HR people and they say that as I was placed and not recruited that as far as they can see from hearing my side of the story only, that I am facing work place bullying to either make me fit their norm or leave.
As I have decided to amalgamate my two blogs my run on not winning even a heavy cold via a competition continues.
I completed a survey with great help from my children concerning chocolate which was nice for they virtually completed the survey for me. All they said was pity that we didn’t have new and not yet released chocolate bars to test first.
The mystery shopper has hopefully turned a corner I have to undertake a mystery shop this week, hopefully there will be more to follow for as I have mentioned before in my blog this is a really good second source or primary source for some people.

I have over the last 12 months had 2 blogs
I have decided to amalgamate the two together this will therefore allow to post more regularly instead of trying to constantly think and type up two separate blog reports. Which as you can clearly see has not been the case lately on either blog?
Well the drought still goes on and I have not yet had a win during the whole of 2008 via competitions. If you follow my other blog of my trials to find some form of home working or internet marking to recoup the 15 thousand salary drop I had to undertake. This drought of not winning coincides with my placement in my current work placement.
The main stipulation of entering competitions is to try and enter 30+ competitions a week or roughly 120-140 a month. I am of average entering 180+ a month. This is achieved by subscribing too a couple of competitions magazine plus an online site every month and also looking at a free online site for alternative competitions to enter. I would recommend everyone to enter competitions for you never know when you may win that ultimate holiday of a lifetime free.
However at the present moment I am not the greatest advert. Am I?
The mystery shopper experience has been very poor for the last 3 months. I have always met all the criteria for undertaking and completing these assignments and I have never forgotten to complete and submit all paperwork on the day of the mystery visit. The company that I work for though has now stipulated that if you sign up to undertake a visit and you subsequently cancel you are only allowed a certain number of strikes and you are out. This I will say I have done, when working full time you sign up to undertake a visit knowing that you have a meeting in the neighbouring town etc. so after your meeting finishes a 20 minutes mystery shop to a local store etc. is achievable. I am sure you are well aware though meeting etc. have a habit of over running and this has in turn made me fail to complete these mystery shops.
I am now very careful to what I sign up to because I don’t want to lose this job albeit very small source of income because the opportunities to test or purchase goods that you may wish to purchase in the future however being paid by a company at a reduced cost to trial these goods is as far as I can see a good thing to miss.
The surveys have also been very slow, however I have recently changed ISP provider and I have not yet transferred all my account over. In a some cases not a bad idea for I was signed up to far to many survey sites to keep ahead.
I found surveys interesting and still do and although the pay is small it does build over time. I have also tested pens, aftershave and energy drinks. It is quite good for free goods although you have to fill in numerous surveys to hit the right one.

Emu Oil
Emu Oil
What is Emu Oil?
Emu oil is a product of the flightless Australian Emu. It comes from the thick pad of fat on the bird’s back which nature supplied as protection from other fighting birds and from the harsh Australian sun. The fat is refined by a thorough, licensed process, strictly regulated by the Australian Government. This process removes all protein, bacteria and foreign matter. Emu Oil is natural healing oil which is highly penetrating, anti-bacterial and has anti-inflammatory properties beneficial to the body and skin. It is odourless oil which will solidify below 18 degrees Celsius.
What is Emu Oil used for?
Applied topically or taken internally.
To moisturize: Emu Oil can be applied topically to treat dry skin conditions such as eczema & psoriasis and is also suitable as a moisturiser for spot prone skin as it does not block pores.
To reduce pain and swelling: Taken internally and/or applied topically, it is also used as an anti-inflammatory to give temporary relief to stiff/sore muscles and joints and to treat sports injuries or tired and overworked muscles.
As an after sun or to treat burns: Helps to reduce redness, reduce the heat and reduce pain. Helps to prevent peeling. Increases the healing time for burns and reduces the likelihood of scarring.
As a supplement: Emu Oil is said to have the perfect combination of the essential fatty acids Omegas3, 6 & 9 and is also believed to reduce cholesterol.
To treat scars/stretch marks: Emu Oil helps your skin to heal and regenerate itself. Will reduce the redness of new stretch marks and can reduce the appearance of old stretch marks.
To heal wounds/bruises/injuries: It is believed that Emu Oil helps to speed up the healing process almost two-fold by encouraging cell regeneration and reducing inflammation. Also reduces the likelihood of scaring.
To promote healthy hair growth: Applied to the scalp, Emu Oil will nourish the hair follicles, sometimes awakening dormant follicles and encouraging strong, health hair growth.
A list of all the conditions Emu Oil has been successful in treating/alleviating?
- Acne: reduces inflammation, speeds healing, moisturises without blocking pores
- Anti-ageing: increases the elasticity of the skin and reduces the appearance of wrinkles

Shelf life; how long will my Emu Oil last?
It has been known for some oil to stay stable for up to 10 years. It is more usual for Emu Oil producers to recommend a 5 to 6 year shelf life. Although the recommendation is to use your oil up within 1-2 years of opening your bottle. This is because as soon as you open the bottle you expose the oil to the atmosphere and then when you start pouring it and dabbing your fingers in etc it is inevitable that the oil will be exposed to some bacteria. This applies to all cosmetics. You should also store the oil below 30°C and out of direct sunlight to help prolong its shelf life. In very hot weather it can be stored in the fridge.
Who can use Emu Oil?
The topical application of Emu Oil is safe for all the family including children, babies, the elderly, and the sick and during pregnancy. There are no known side affects. It can also be used on animals.
What does Emu Oil contain?
Emu Oil naturally contains:
Vitamin A
Vitamin E
Omegas 3,6 & 9
Triglycerides (lipids very similar to those in human skin)
Terpines - antiseptic agents
Sapogens - skin softeners
Oleic Acid - a skin cell regenerator and preserver and an epidermic transporter of bio-active compounds.
What are the benefits of Emu Oil?
- Reduces Inflammation
- Mildly Analgesic

- More effective than arnica for the treatment of bruises
- Drug & chemical free
- Safe & natural alternative to mineral oils

The Wedding Countdown
Start to think about your complexion about 4-6 months before. A skincare routine helps skin look even, smooth and radiant. For all important daily sun protection, don’t go out without an SPF lotion- please consider this at any time of the year.
About 4 to 8 weeks before and you suffer from large pores, dullness or shine. Now is the time to get a skin care check up and address any complexion issues. Please go and talk to the experts about your concerns and commit to a simple customised routine. You will see your problems solved and your skin transformed.
Round about 4 weeks before make a visit to see a make up expert and go over your wedding day look.
Purchase presents for your bridal party. Make up and fragrance items make great gifts. Please don’t forget the groom.
Continue to experiment with self tanners to give skin a sun kissed glow. The key to natural looking, believable colour? Exfoliation. It helps self tanning products glide on and most importantly streak free. Polish and deflake dull skin with gentle yet effective booster exfoliators for face and body.
After you have applied a self tanner you must remember to keep your skin hydrated this is very important as dry skin soaks up colour unevenly. Wait for 20 minutes after self tanning before smoothing on moisturiser.
It is now the week of that all important day the wedding day. Make time to go for that all important final skin care check up. It is well known that stress and dehydration can wreak havoc on skin, therefore get some all important exercise and more importantly drink plenty of water, too.
Revisit how you want your make up to look. Practice makes perfect. Now’s the time to purchase anything that missing from your cosmetics bag. Pack for your honeymoon. Importantly don’t forget the sunscreen.
Also consider what special fragrance you will wear for the big day.
The wedding day remember to moisturise lightly around your eyes and liberally on your face. A well moisturised face keeps foundation from clinging to skin.
Foundation evens out skin tone and minimises imperfections. Remember less is more.
Concealer disguises imperfections – it’s the key to great photographs. Brighten your look with a lighter shade of concealer at the inner and outer eye corners.
Eye shadow tends to wear off. Anchor your shadow with a neutral base for long wear. Waterproof mascara is a must.
Lipstick should be subtle and flattering. Avoid brown lipsticks to make to make your teeth your whiter. And a long wearing lipstick formula will help keep your smile beautiful after numerous toasts and kisses.
Bottom line? Enjoy your moment it’s your day. Feel comfortable with yourself. Finally be yourself! The most important thing to remember is to have fun, and delight in this once in a lifetime process.

Brides and Wedding
I have therefore started sources wedding items for my ebay store . There is only a few items at the moment however if they sell I will add and source more.
However I have found these wedding traditions for everyone to see. Some I did know about and some I didn't.
The Ring
The wedding ring is worn on the third finger of the left hand because it was once believed that a special vein ran from this finger directly to the heart. If the ring is dropped during the ceremony, it should be picked up only by the clergyman or registrar conducting the ceremony.
If the wife loses her wedding ring at any time, the husband should immediately buy another, place it on her finger and repeat the lines of the marriage vow.
June is a universally favoured month for weddings, and not just because good weather can generally be relied upon. Its popularity is rooted in the fact that it was named for the goddess Juno. As the adored and faithful wife of Jupiter, she is said to bestow special blessings on those who marry in her month. May, named for Maia, wife of Vulcan and patroness of the aged, is said to be a particularly unlucky time to marry.
Married in January's hoar and rime, widowed you'll be before your time,
Married in February's sleepy weather, life you'll tread in time together,
Married when March winds shrill and roar, your home will be on a distant shore,
Married beneath April's changing skies, a chequered path before you lies,
Married when bees over May blossoms flit, strangers around your board will sit,
Married in the month of roses, June, life will be one long honeymoon,
Married in July with flowers ablaze, bittersweet memories on after days,
Married in August's heat and drowse, lover and friend in your chosen spouse,
Married in September's golden glow, smooth and serene your life will go,
Married when leaves in October thin, toil and hardship now begin,
Married in veils of November mist, fortune your wedding ring has kissed,
Married in days of December cheer, love's star shines brighter from year to year.
Some days, too, are considered luckier than others for marrying:
Monday for wealth,
Tuesday for health,
Wednesday the best of all,
Thursday for losses,
Friday for crosses,
Saturday no luck at all.

My ebay shop and job situation

Job Situation
My line manager is always checking to see if I have any work to get on with and they are always asking this trainer to pass work over. The trainer says that they will however I only ever get it within the last 10 minutes before I leave.
I think they want me to stay late and build up flexi that then they will not allow me to take.
The line manager also keeps asking this trainer if I can attend meeting with her. The number of meeting that I have attended is huge however as this is a new work area for me I will tag along. The response I get is there are none. However they other new starters are already tagging along with their trainers to meeting. The thing that rub salt into the wound is the trainer allocated to me is always out at meeting.
Oh well at least my ebay work is slowly taking off.

The new job, ebay and planetsms
The internet marketing ideas that I have will and are progressing. The ebay business is once again letting me learn the ropes before I open an shop and hopefully progress further. I ahve read anothe report that it can take up to 2 years to really make money. That I feel is ok

What do you think is the correct thing to do?
To everyone who reads this and has visited me on ebay and either browsed or bought I thank you once again.
To any body else to enable me to reach my goals please visit. Once I open my shop I will start selling ebooks.
Threre is son much to learn from planetsms. It is the only online site on ebooks that I really trust.

Why Publish an eZine?
I am now looking at building ebooks and ezines.
On the Internet, it is very possible to make money without selling any product. One way of doing so is through starting your own eZine, also known as an electronic newsletter.
In a nutshell, you send out your eZine issues on a periodical basis to your subscribers. The good part is that you have a flexible choice in automating the process of sending out your eZine issues for you or manually sending them on a periodical basis.
As an eZine publisher, not only can you easily achieve the benefits a conventional newsletter publisher enjoys without having to chop down several trees in the process, you can easily and conveniently spread your marketing influence and expertise to your base of subscribers from the shoes of an ordinary individual.
In other words, you do not have to invest in expensive printing equipment, brick and mortar business, and hiring staff just to run your own newsletter publication, resulting in a lot of time, money and effort saved.
Basically, all you need to start your own eZine are an auto responder and broadcast feature to go with, enabling you to reach out to your massive subscribers whom you can regard as your prospects, too.
All in all, if you do not have the commitments of creating your own product for sale, then publishing your own online newsletter can be one of the wisest decisions you will ever make, given the benefits of impressive marketing power and influence it can offer to you.

Job Situation
I have serious started to look at selling stuff on e-bay. I have some old stuff to sell just to get started I have signed up to a couple of e-magazines in relation to selling on e-bay. The only situation I see is once again you need some sort of float to purchase some goods to sell to take you to the next level.

Moving on
I feel that I have a few things that may interest buyers etc.
I have acquired the resell rights to quite a few ebooks, I have my ebay account set up, just need to photo my goods, and then that's set to go. I have signed up to a couple of affiliate marketing schemes and I have chosen my goods to promote.
I'm passionate about the product's that I chosen however I appreciate its easier to promote one item at a time. So that's want I must do.

E books
In my last few articles I've been discussing creating your own ebooks. In this article, as requested by one of the subscribers to this newsletter, I'm going to explain how I would promote a newly created ebook, step-by-step:
1) Get a Mailing List:- I know everyone seems to be harping on about the importance of getting a mailing list. My opinion is - "If you want to sell digital products online you HAVE to get a mailing list together". This is the first thing I would do when promoting my new ebook. If you don't yet have a mailing list then head over to Aweber and sign up. After this you need to start getting subscribers on your list. This is a topic far too detailed to be covered in this article, but here's a basic summary of how to do it. First, you need to create a page with a web form allowing people to sign up for your newsletter (this is called a squeeze page). On this squeeze page you need to offer something of value that is related to what you are trying to sell. It could be a free report or a free chapter from your newly created ebook. If you want to get an idea of what a squeeze page should look like you can take a look at one of mine by Clicking Here. Once you have your squeeze page you then need to get traffic to this page using promotional methods including; article submission, Google Adwords, etc, all of which I outline later in this article. You also need to make sure that you offer your subscribers regular, free, quality content so that they trust you and also so that they know you provide good material that is worth paying for. I would recommend you get a mailing list before you launch your product so that you have a list of subscribers ready for the product launch. Anyway, as I said before this is not an article on list building. Above is a VERY basic summary and I would suggest you do further research into this area. However, the point still stands that you need to get a mailing list if you want to launch a product online.
2) Offer the Ebook to your Mailing List First:- Before launching your ebook to the general market, first offer it to your subscribers. This offer should be an exclusive offer that will not be available when the ebook is launched to the general market. For example, the ebook could be heavily discounted or you could include free additional content which will only be available to newsletter subscribers. Make sure that the offer is time sensitive and not repeated. If the offer never ends or it's repeated then it's not really an offer at all. By introducing a time limit and not repeating the offer your subscribers really are getting an exclusive deal.
3) Release the Ebook to the General Market:- Once the time limit for the subscriber offer has expired you can release your ebook to everyone. I would recommend you set up a website to sell your ebook and list the ebook in your eBay store. Again if you don't have all of the above you're going to need them. I use 1and1 for my websites and you can get an eBay store by Clicking Here.
4) Write some Articles:- The topic of these articles will be dependent upon your ebook subject. Sticking with the theme of weight loss I mentioned earlier you could perhaps write articles such as; '10 Foods that will Burn More Calories' or '15 Easy Exercise Tips'. Whatever the topic, make sure the articles contain quality content but at the same time do not give away the entire contents of your ebook.
5) Send an Article to your Mailing List at Regular Intervals:- Once the articles are written you want to be sending them out to your subscriber list on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. This provides your subscribers with free quality content. In between messages make subscribers aware that your ebook is available for purchase. Using the weight loss theme again you could perhaps send an email a few days after one of these articles saying; "I hope you found the recent article on '10 Foods that will Burn More Calories' useful. In my ebook 'Wonderful Weight Loss' I discuss even more foods that increase the rate at which calories burn and include a full diet plan."
6) Alter the Article Slightly and Submit to Article Directories:- You need to alter the article because the way you address subscribers will be different to a proper article. Once amended submit the article to relevant article directories including http://www.ezinearticles.com/ and http://www.goarticles.com/. Then in the author bio box include a message that promotes your ebook. Sticking with the weight loss example you could use; "Bob has studied weight loss for a number of years and has come up with the ultimate weight loss plan. If you want to check out the full details of 'Wonderful Weight Loss' visit..."
7) Set up a Blog and Post your Articles:- You can set up your own blog for free at http://www.blogger.com/. Once set up, alter your articles slightly and then post them to your blog with a link back to your ebook sales page.
8) Make Regular, Valuable Contributions at Relevant Forums:- With this tip I am not advocating that you SPAM any forums. However, many forums allow you to have a signature which links back to your website. If you make your signature link back to your ebook sales page and answer relevant questions then you are likely to get a few clicks from potential customers. For example, if someone is asking which foods help burn calories then you could use information from your article to post an answer.
9) Submit your Sales Page to the Search Engines:- Submitting to the search engines is free so it's definitely worth doing. Your sales page will get indexed eventually but manual submission speeds up the process. You can submit your page to Google .
10) Sell your Ebook through ClickBank:- ClickBank is one of the Internet's largest digital product retailers so you really want to have your product selling here also. By selling through ClickBank your ebook is listed in the ClickBank marketplace and affiliates can promote your product for a commission that you determine. You can sign up for ClickBank by Clicking Here.
11) Start a Google Adwords Campaign:- Like mailing lists Google Adwords is a topic that is beyond the scope of this article. However, when you do it right the results can be great. If you are thinking about doing a Google Adwords campaign I would personally recommend reading Perry Marshall's The Definitive Guide to Google Adwords which I have reviewed at http://www.theebookcavernreviews.co.uk/.
12) Repeat Steps 4-11:- It's important that you are constantly promoting your ebook and the best way to do this is repeat what is already working. Keep writing new articles & distributing them, keep building your mailing list & stay in contact with your subscribers and keep contributing to relevant forums. So that is how I would go about promoting a newly created ebook. I would also be promoting my eBay store (which contains a listing for this newly created ebook) using my About Me page, eBay Reviews & Guides and more but overall the above is what I would do step-by-step.
