Job Situation

Still slow, However I am a lot happier now that I know that I am at least permanent.

What a pain that Ebay has stopped digital downloads I had just about got myself set up to finally move into ebooks and they stopped them.

Yes I now there are still ways around it. However this is a minor set back and all I must do is re calculate how I am going to move into ebooks and then strike.

The new job, ebay and planetsms

The new job is going fine albeit slow. After years of people asking me this, that and whatever, I am now learning new things and I have walk before I can run.

The internet marketing ideas that I have will and are progressing. The ebay business is once again letting me learn the ropes before I open an shop and hopefully progress further. I ahve read anothe report that it can take up to 2 years to really make money. That I feel is ok

One question I have read a few reports that you must open a shop, other saying only open a shop if you if you are turning over $£X amount everyweek or month.

What do you think is the correct thing to do?

To everyone who reads this and has visited me on ebay and either browsed or bought I thank you once again.

To any body else to enable me to reach my goals please visit. Once I open my shop I will start selling ebooks.

Threre is son much to learn from planetsms. It is the only online site on ebooks that I really trust.

New Job

Well I officially start a new job tomorrow . I don't know at all how it will go. However I will check in and give you feedback.

The Many Facets of Viral Marketing

In the beginning, e-mail was the one way that viral marketing was started. Since that long ago day, viral marketing has gone from a marketing strategy to an art form and there are many ways to accomplish the objective of creating a successful viral marketing campaign. Seven of those ways are:

  1. E-mail: It was first but it is still around and still used. It is, however, getting a little harder to use as more and more government restrictions are placed on it. Still… it does work.

  1. Newsletters: This is an extension of e-mail but it a very effective tool. If you include enough timely and valuable information, a good newsletter can drive up the number of visits to your website.

  1. Blogging: Providing the tools on your website to enable bloggers to interact with one another is a terrific way to get the message about your product of service out there and being talked about. Bloggers have their ears to the ground for new products and services.

  1. Chat Rooms: A chat room on your website can and does encourage interaction among your customers and that can’t be a bad thing. Also, you can use the chat room to schedule special events like having an expert available to answer questions on a given day at a given time.

  1. Tell-a-friend Script: If you add this with a statement saying that e-mail addresses supplied will never be shared with third parties, you can increase your potential customer list greatly.

  1. Video Clips: Including cool video clips on your website will keep the interest up and increase traffic.

  1. Flash Games: Although they are a little costly to start, they are an extremely effective tool to get your viral marketing campaign going. Once they are launched, they require nothing more from you.
I have started to read all the information downloaded that come from planetsms and so far as I have said I am completely impressed. I will keep everyone informed regarding this as well

E-books and Affiliate Programs

Some E-books combine very well with an affiliate program. When the affiliate receives some extra benefit from promoting the viral message, like being able to brand your E-book with his affiliate links, the affiliate makes a sale when a reader buys through a branded link. You benefit from increased traffic on your website because the affiliate is willing to promote the E-books for you.

Be absolutely certain that your message includes a clear call to action. There shouldn’t be any doubt whatsoever about what you intend recipients to do. Make sure that the instructions are perfectly clear so that recipients know HOW to act. The action that you require should be simple and obvious as well. Don’t make things complicated or it will confuse the reader, such as by adding numerous links.

Remember the K.I.S.S. principle: Keep It Simple Stupid! The incentive should be clear to those you want to take an action. Readers will look at your offering for about seven seconds before they move on. If it takes longer than that for them to figure out what it is you want them to do, they will move on. Don’t make your message vague or difficult to comprehend. If you do, chances are you will lose them. You must respect your readers enough to express your message clearly.

Once you are sure you have an E-book that will be of value to an affiliate program, approach them with your idea and be able to show that it will be mutually beneficial.

Viral Marketing using E-books is one of many techniques that all together have a cumulative effect in attracting customers and subscribers to your business and in attracting targeted visitors to your website. You will very soon find out that this is an excellent way of increasing sales, subscribers and referrals.

I have also recently signed up to planetsms myself so everyone can keep tabs on how my dealing go over the next few weeks and months.

e books and job situation

3 Steps to Find “Freebies” to Add to Your E-book

Those of us who regularly shop on line are familiar with the array of free gifts, free bonuses and just plain freebies that are offered to a visitor to a website to encourage them to buy. How could you collect, select and offer free gifts, which will be valued as much as the original merchandise that is being purchased, put these gifts together and add them to your E-book? There are just three steps to do that very thing. They are:

1. Identify your key words in each chapter of your E-book. Now, type those words into your favorite search engine. You are looking for free E-books on the same subject in more depth, by a greater expert than you are, or by someone who gives a new and fresh angle to the topic. Add a link to the free E-book in each chapter of your E-book.

2. Research the Internet for related free gifts. Now you are looking for things that you could give as free gifts in your E-book that will make it more appealing and give it more pass-along appeal to your readers. For example: If you are selling gardening supplies, find a planting guide on the web that can be downloaded and include that as a gift in your E-book.

3. Download the freebies. Visit the freebies pages on those web sites. Most sites have freebies and encourage you to distribute them.

Other key words I searched for are freebies, free E-books, and free reports and then gave the key word that I wanted the free stuff for. Like… “freebies for gardeners”.

Give your reader the vest that you can offer. Give them your book, additional reading material and free gifts to boot. Everybody loves a bargain!

I am seriously looking at ebooks that is why I have given you the above. Also my job the management have agreed that they have been paying the wrong salary. The situation now is getting them to pay me,if they get my salary right in December it will include 4 months back payment.

Hopefully they will get it right just in time for christmas.

Publishing Your eZine – the Cons

As with any other types of businesses, publishing your own online newsletter a.k.a. eZine has its share of drawbacks, in spite of the several benefits it offer.

The purpose of this article is not to scare you away with the disadvantages of publishing your own eZine, as the benefits are often more attractive. However, I will also show you how you can easily tackle the cons.

One obvious challenge most beginning eZine publishers face is the creation of eZine content. Creating your own content can be tiresome, especially if you are not a gifted writer and that you run out of ideas every so often that your publishing schedule is threatening you.

A way of taking care of this problem is to create your content in advance. You can compile 30 days worth of content in one day, for example. If you are not blessed with writing skills, you can broker the writing task to capable freelance writers which you can find at places such as http://www.elance.com/ or http://www.rentacoder.com/. While you need to pay for such services, you are at liberty to take the credit for written articles.

Alternatively, you can republish articles from article directories such as http://ezinearticles.com/. This is a free method you can use in making content, provided you include the resource box of the original author and that the article has republishing rights conveyed.

In conclusion, you can easily tackle the content creation challenge using the mentioned methods that do not require writing on your part, free or paid.

Publishing Your eZine – the Pros

There are several advantages publishing your own eZine can offer to you. Thus if the pros appeal to you, then publishing your own paperless newsletter can be ideal for you.

The most obvious reason publishing an eZine can be the most ideal business to you is that it is so easy to start that any individual can do. There is no need to invest in starting a brick and mortar business or even staff and heavy machines for that matter.

In fact, you can do this from the comfort of your home as the most important thing you will need is an auto responder equipped with broadcast feature. Auto responders such as GetResponse.com and aWeber.com are highly recommended when it comes to publishing your own eZine.

In spite of the low start up cost and monthly fees, you can make money from several profit centers within the spaces of your eZine issues. You can make money from selling advertising space, just to name one.

Most importantly, you get to build your own personal media and spread your marketing influence, making you more valuable to product and service owners thus do not be surprised if you receive Joint Venture proposals every so often.

Given some of the best reasons in the world of Internet Marketing, publishing your own periodical eZine can one of the best money vehicles you will ever acquire or even build.

Why Publish an eZine?

As everyone is aware that I started this blog when I suffered a serious drop on salary. I have been constantly searching and trying out different ideas. However every time I seem to achieve a breakthrough another obstacle rising. I know I have find ways around these but when it concerns capital which I haven't got there is the stumbling block.

I am now looking at building ebooks and ezines.

On the Internet, it is very possible to make money without selling any product. One way of doing so is through starting your own eZine, also known as an electronic newsletter.

In a nutshell, you send out your eZine issues on a periodical basis to your subscribers. The good part is that you have a flexible choice in automating the process of sending out your eZine issues for you or manually sending them on a periodical basis.

As an eZine publisher, not only can you easily achieve the benefits a conventional newsletter publisher enjoys without having to chop down several trees in the process, you can easily and conveniently spread your marketing influence and expertise to your base of subscribers from the shoes of an ordinary individual.

In other words, you do not have to invest in expensive printing equipment, brick and mortar business, and hiring staff just to run your own newsletter publication, resulting in a lot of time, money and effort saved.

Basically, all you need to start your own eZine are an auto responder and broadcast feature to go with, enabling you to reach out to your massive subscribers whom you can regard as your prospects, too.

All in all, if you do not have the commitments of creating your own product for sale, then publishing your own online newsletter can be one of the wisest decisions you will ever make, given the benefits of impressive marketing power and influence it can offer to you.

Review of 'Planetsms Digital Monthly Mentorship'

Blog Post - Review
-------------

A new mentoring program with a difference

Many new online marketers are joining programs and sites that claim to 'mentor' people to success, So is 'Planetsms Digital Monthly Mentorship' any different to so many that don't provide value, Or is is one of the few that do?

I may be slightly biased in favour of this program - because I have bought products from John Thornhill in the past and he always over delivers and offers great support for those, You might want to check some of his products here to get an idea of the quality of his products before commiting to a monthly fee...

After showcasing Johns products, I will endeavour to be objective in discussing his new Internet marketing digital mentorship membership product and just look at the facts.

The first thing I noted from reading his site is that John Thornhill, known on ebay as planetsms, isn't just promoting it as another 'make money from ebay' type of product.
He does use his ebay id as part of his credentials as a person qualified to teach others, as well as the fact that he has authored some best selling ebooks, and is an ebay powerseller.

What he says about 'the secret to success' being to follow someone who is successful at internet marketing can't be argued with, (provided they are teaching what they know and do to make money on the internet)

This monthly membership goes a lot further than just the mention of selling on ebay though.
It claims to teach exactly what John does to generate multiple streams of income from the internet marketing arena in general.

The claims made on the sales page include:

A Digital Newsletter Delivered to Your Inbox Each Month.
In which he claims to reveal methods he actually uses to make money, and admits many of them are not just from ebay.

Audio/Video Training
Which will show and 'walk us through' what he does and the strategies he employs.

The Tools Required to Help You Succeed.
He includes in the package the tools and private label/ brandable material he says will be needed for some one to start their own online income.

The Opportunity to Get Personal Help.
Offering to have direct contact with subscribers/members to help them where needed (but only on a limited number basis) - so I would assume this may be removed at some point?

A Monthly Question and Answer session.
Promising to answer any marketing related questions

Further 'undefined' help
Offering to be flexible and help as needed with other avenues of making money online such as list building, product creation, sales page building and help with ebay listings.

And Also -
Almost Guaranteed Income.
Where he is offering to promote members products to his subscriber base, in order to help generate them some sale. (I note he does have some small print in there - only promising to promote appropriate products)
This presumably covers him against any obligation to promote poor quality or non related products?

Finally his price for membership is set at $10 per month. (this is where I believe he differentiates himself from many mentoring programs I have seen - most go for the higher end price ticket - this does seem exceptional value if he lives up to his claims)

For which he also offers a money back guarantee. (presumably with it being a clickbank product - he will have had to offer such a guarantee) Never the less it is comforting that one can 'Try' him out without risk or fear of loss, knowing that if he doesn't provide quality and value he would soon be out of pocket.

See the site

So that's the sales page and claims outlined, with a few comments from myself where appropriate.

As a brand new service - time will tell if he continues to provide value...
But I can say this much -

I have had access to his first Video Newsletter and can confirm that he does go into great detail of a strategy he is currently using.
He gives details of exactly how to set it up for maximum profit, with a step by step follow along video that any new marketer could easily follow. Clear and simple and with a full explanation of where he did what he did, how to do the same etc.

He then went further than expected and showed exactly how much income and sales this strategy provided from his own business and also for comparison, a new marketer with a smaller list and less experience and no product of his own.

I do believe this will help many and was sufficient to justify the first months subscription without any of the other benefits quoted.

So my conclusion so far is that I genuinely believe this could be a valuable resource and it certainly looks as though planetsms digital monthly mentorship will be a keeper for me.

My recommendation would be to join and try it out. with the money back guarantee the small $10 risk is removed.
I believe new and intermediate marketers will find value and benefit in the first issue.
And surprisingly - even many of the more experienced marketers are not using this particular strategy!
So I wouldn't rule it out assuming the low price would mean there was nothing a successful marketer couldn't learn.

See the sales page here

Do come back and post your comments if you found this review useful.

Moving on

I'm at the stage now that I have decided on my schemes and I am trying to move them on so that I'm in a position to make money.

I feel that I have a few things that may interest buyers etc.

I have acquired the resell rights to quite a few ebooks, I have my ebay account set up, just need to photo my goods, and then that's set to go. I have signed up to a couple of affiliate marketing schemes and I have chosen my goods to promote.

I'm passionate about the product's that I chosen however I appreciate its easier to promote one item at a time. So that's want I must do.

E books

As I have stated I am seriously looking at ebooks and I found this informative and well worth a read.

In my last few articles I've been discussing creating your own ebooks. In this article, as requested by one of the subscribers to this newsletter, I'm going to explain how I would promote a newly created ebook, step-by-step:

1) Get a Mailing List:- I know everyone seems to be harping on about the importance of getting a mailing list. My opinion is - "If you want to sell digital products online you HAVE to get a mailing list together". This is the first thing I would do when promoting my new ebook. If you don't yet have a mailing list then head over to Aweber and sign up. After this you need to start getting subscribers on your list. This is a topic far too detailed to be covered in this article, but here's a basic summary of how to do it. First, you need to create a page with a web form allowing people to sign up for your newsletter (this is called a squeeze page). On this squeeze page you need to offer something of value that is related to what you are trying to sell. It could be a free report or a free chapter from your newly created ebook. If you want to get an idea of what a squeeze page should look like you can take a look at one of mine by Clicking Here. Once you have your squeeze page you then need to get traffic to this page using promotional methods including; article submission, Google Adwords, etc, all of which I outline later in this article. You also need to make sure that you offer your subscribers regular, free, quality content so that they trust you and also so that they know you provide good material that is worth paying for. I would recommend you get a mailing list before you launch your product so that you have a list of subscribers ready for the product launch. Anyway, as I said before this is not an article on list building. Above is a VERY basic summary and I would suggest you do further research into this area. However, the point still stands that you need to get a mailing list if you want to launch a product online.

2) Offer the Ebook to your Mailing List First:- Before launching your ebook to the general market, first offer it to your subscribers. This offer should be an exclusive offer that will not be available when the ebook is launched to the general market. For example, the ebook could be heavily discounted or you could include free additional content which will only be available to newsletter subscribers. Make sure that the offer is time sensitive and not repeated. If the offer never ends or it's repeated then it's not really an offer at all. By introducing a time limit and not repeating the offer your subscribers really are getting an exclusive deal.

3) Release the Ebook to the General Market:- Once the time limit for the subscriber offer has expired you can release your ebook to everyone. I would recommend you set up a website to sell your ebook and list the ebook in your eBay store. Again if you don't have all of the above you're going to need them. I use 1and1 for my websites and you can get an eBay store by Clicking Here.

4) Write some Articles:- The topic of these articles will be dependent upon your ebook subject. Sticking with the theme of weight loss I mentioned earlier you could perhaps write articles such as; '10 Foods that will Burn More Calories' or '15 Easy Exercise Tips'. Whatever the topic, make sure the articles contain quality content but at the same time do not give away the entire contents of your ebook.

5) Send an Article to your Mailing List at Regular Intervals:- Once the articles are written you want to be sending them out to your subscriber list on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. This provides your subscribers with free quality content. In between messages make subscribers aware that your ebook is available for purchase. Using the weight loss theme again you could perhaps send an email a few days after one of these articles saying; "I hope you found the recent article on '10 Foods that will Burn More Calories' useful. In my ebook 'Wonderful Weight Loss' I discuss even more foods that increase the rate at which calories burn and include a full diet plan."

6) Alter the Article Slightly and Submit to Article Directories:- You need to alter the article because the way you address subscribers will be different to a proper article. Once amended submit the article to relevant article directories including http://www.ezinearticles.com/ and http://www.goarticles.com/. Then in the author bio box include a message that promotes your ebook. Sticking with the weight loss example you could use; "Bob has studied weight loss for a number of years and has come up with the ultimate weight loss plan. If you want to check out the full details of 'Wonderful Weight Loss' visit..."

7) Set up a Blog and Post your Articles:- You can set up your own blog for free at http://www.blogger.com/. Once set up, alter your articles slightly and then post them to your blog with a link back to your ebook sales page.

8) Make Regular, Valuable Contributions at Relevant Forums:- With this tip I am not advocating that you SPAM any forums. However, many forums allow you to have a signature which links back to your website. If you make your signature link back to your ebook sales page and answer relevant questions then you are likely to get a few clicks from potential customers. For example, if someone is asking which foods help burn calories then you could use information from your article to post an answer.

9) Submit your Sales Page to the Search Engines:- Submitting to the search engines is free so it's definitely worth doing. Your sales page will get indexed eventually but manual submission speeds up the process. You can submit your page to Google .

10) Sell your Ebook through ClickBank:- ClickBank is one of the Internet's largest digital product retailers so you really want to have your product selling here also. By selling through ClickBank your ebook is listed in the ClickBank marketplace and affiliates can promote your product for a commission that you determine. You can sign up for ClickBank by Clicking Here.

11) Start a Google Adwords Campaign:- Like mailing lists Google Adwords is a topic that is beyond the scope of this article. However, when you do it right the results can be great. If you are thinking about doing a Google Adwords campaign I would personally recommend reading Perry Marshall's The Definitive Guide to Google Adwords which I have reviewed at http://www.theebookcavernreviews.co.uk/.

12) Repeat Steps 4-11:- It's important that you are constantly promoting your ebook and the best way to do this is repeat what is already working. Keep writing new articles & distributing them, keep building your mailing list & stay in contact with your subscribers and keep contributing to relevant forums. So that is how I would go about promoting a newly created ebook. I would also be promoting my eBay store (which contains a listing for this newly created ebook) using my About Me page, eBay Reviews & Guides and more but overall the above is what I would do step-by-step.
