Brides and Wedding

Everyone knows someone you is getting married this year or next and their wedding plans are set and they are actively working on them.

I have therefore started sources wedding items for my ebay store . There is only a few items at the moment however if they sell I will add and source more.

However I have found these wedding traditions for everyone to see. Some I did know about and some I didn't.


The Ring

The wedding ring is worn on the third finger of the left hand because it was once believed that a special vein ran from this finger directly to the heart. If the ring is dropped during the ceremony, it should be picked up only by the clergyman or registrar conducting the ceremony.

If the wife loses her wedding ring at any time, the husband should immediately buy another, place it on her finger and repeat the lines of the marriage vow.

It's All in the Timing

June is a universally favoured month for weddings, and not just because good weather can generally be relied upon. Its popularity is rooted in the fact that it was named for the goddess Juno. As the adored and faithful wife of Jupiter, she is said to bestow special blessings on those who marry in her month. May, named for Maia, wife of Vulcan and patroness of the aged, is said to be a particularly unlucky time to marry.

Life and work

My life is at the moment like one blur. Me who adheres so much to time management has seriously let it slip. My blogging has slip, my training as well. Now is the time over easter to attempt to put some normality back into my life.

The job situation hopefully is nearly resolved and my ebay shop is starting to gander results.

The situation with my shop I am now happy to let it progress and most reports or sites I visit say give yourself 2 years to hit top dollar.

My work I will have to undertake major training yippee another set of courses and qualifications to gain. So I will lwt thinks progress slowly and hopefully within 12 months to 2 years. Not only be earning 15 k extra in work however also via interent marketing.

New Job

Well I officially start a new job tomorrow . I don't know at all how it will go. However I will check in and give you feedback.

The Many Facets of Viral Marketing

6. Video Clips: Including cool video clips on your website will keep the interest up and increase traffic.

7. Flash Games: Although they are a little costly to start, they are an extremely effective tool to get your viral marketing campaign going. Once they are launched, they require nothing more from you.

I have started to read all the information downloaded that come from planetsms and so far as I have said I am completely impressed. I will keep everyone informed regarding this as well

Job Front

Just when you think everything is moving in the right direction. Up jumps something to knock you back down.

I thought I had a job in the bag. Not the job that would keep me there for say 5 years but something that would give me more salary taxing to a degree and would enable me to undertake a training course that would just maybe lead to better things if everything worked out.

The today I found once again the goal posts have moved. I will speak to the union asap to find out what there feeling are.

With all the problems in finding me another position instead of me doing 2 weeks here and 2 weeks there. they would just place me in position that I would except for a period say of 6-18 months. Therefore getting me off the redeployment register well until this extended placement would be completed.

Well the answer to that seems to be no!!.

Job Situation

I had a meeting today with the Occupational Psychologist I feel it went ok. We discussed my present job situation ad ways that I could improve my job situation.

One point that constantly came up was having a new CV and testing the water. After years of working in anon for profit organization it will be scary. However after speaking to a friend who is a HR manager. I will meet him next week to draw a new one up.

I am slowly getting back on track with all my other projects.

further frustrations

My further frustrations of an internet marketer newb.

These are the following that I constantly question whenever I download anything.

Is it signed off by a name? If not, it could be
suspicious. Every good operator will sign off the
latter with an individual name.

Can you see the company details? There should
be a registered address and a publisher's name.
If not, don't send any money.

Is the money promise unrealistic? Any
promotion that offers things like "£100,000 this
year' or "£1 million opportunity" I believe is lying.

Are the prospects realistic? Most decent
opportunities will make you between £100 a
week and £25,000 a year, part time. Full time
the figure could be as high as £80,000, but
you're not likely to go full time until you've made
it work part time, right? So keep this in mind
before you buy the Aston Martin in your mind.
Yes, ANY business can make you a millionaire -
I know people who are well on the way, but it
didn't happen overnight.

This one I have signed up to several or should I say numerous e-zines all saying that you can earn “x” amount. Others saying that you can earn “y” amount only after working as an internet marketer for 18 months to 2 years. These I believe more. As they seem more plausible to me.

Of course I mean no offence to anyone who has eared $200,000 (£100,000) in 6 months or shorter. But I feel that they are not painting a true picture. If I paid out $100 (£50) Would I be number 99 or 199 trying to earn money selling a niche that now has a saturated market.

Does the sales pitch offer specifics? By this I
mean does it have figures, dates, theories,
testimonials and ideas? If it's ONLY about how
you could live like a millionaire, end your money
worries, be your own boss - but nothing else,
then tread carefully.

I have to question the testimonials, once again no offence is intended, how valid are the testimonials as far as I can see these could have been typed up by the person themselves or their close friends.

They could have also signed up very after the release of this certain product and have course made money out of it. A lot of money out of it! However sometimes I wonder.

Is there an UNCONDITIONAL money back
guarantee? If not, no deal, no matter how big the
promise or how slick the pitch. If you're unsure,
phone the company or write to them to check
the offer.

Do you get enough time to trial it properly? If it's
a book or manual you need at least 28 days to
read it and see if it's for you. If it's a trading
opportunity, tipster or long-term course, then I
suggest that 2-3 months is a more realistic time
to check it.

Can you get a pro-rata refund? For 12-month
subscription products like newsletters and
tipping services, most good companies will
refund you even AFTER the trial period is over.
Not all your money, but some of it on a pro-rata
basis. Fleet Street Publications usually offer this,
for instance.

Is it fromanother foreign country? Fine if it's a one-off book,
download or manual, but be careful if it's a subscription or
long-term product, as they may not be able (or
willing) to deal with overseas customer service
and support. Also, you will find it harder to get
refunds from, or make complaints to, overseas
companies. I'd be careful with the
pricier stuff.

10. Is it saying you've won money? Then throw it
away or delete it. They're LYING to you.

Job Situation

Today I have to visit the Occupational Health dept. My senior manager recommended that I attend due to the present situation in relation to my job situation. Ever since my intended return at the end of March, the union and management have had verbal agreement that I would be placed into a position that would be financially damaging as my present situation of being £15k down.

I was sent to a smaller non-profit, on secondment, to show my present employers that I could manage a bigger portfolio at a smaller establishment. As stated I was sent back to my present employers due to financial constraints. But since them as you all know nothing. I was as stated sent back with glowing reports.

In all our partner organisations you constantly here that Joe from xxxx is leaving and so is Mary from yyyy. Then next you here there posts have been filled. Some of these jobs are of a higher grade and lower than my present position. However I feel that because I'm on the official redeployment list to move me you have to cross all the t's and dot all the i's.

That is why I feel like a asylum seeker and I'm frustrated in my present position.

I am trying to seek alternative employment however the non for profit organisations are facing a financial squeeze at the moment. I would move further afield however my eldest son is facing a major schooling year so moving lock, stock and barrel is out until this time next year.


Just a sub note: I have just been referred for counselling. A colleague stated if they the management spent as much time sorting out my job, instead of sending off to meet all these people, there would no need for counselling. What a stupid situation. But what the hell!

Job Situation

I am waiting patiently for a week on Monday. That's when I'm suppose to have my meeting with management to discuss and agree a date to move to another section. It's not the final answer, however it's a step in the right direction.

My union rep is on holiday for the next fortnight however I have been advised to contact the union by Wednesday if I have heard nothing from management.

As you can see I have been changing the look of my blog.
